Their full length debut album “Unholy Wings”, inspired by the Persian mythology and the creature Azhi-Dahaka, a three headed dragon which brought ruin to earth, is a death / black metal amalgamate. A fierce & intense experience. Prepare yourself for 6 tracks of misery, hunger and thirst for death. Here comes WINGS OF DAHAK! Out now on Limited Edition jewel case CD offered by record label Via Nocturna!

2016
Wings of Dahak was founded in 2013 by Dave Tillery, best known as the bassist for Texas death metal legends Embalmed and guitarist for Gruesome Fate. Influenced by all genres of extreme metal and fueled by a desire to share stories of mythological doom and destruction brought forth by the corruption of man, Tillery began writing and releasing demos under the Wings of Dahak name in 2013.

After working with several other musicians over the next few years, Tillery called upon an old friend from his days as band mate with Truncator, drum extraordinaire Matt Thompson, who currently plays drums for metal icon, King Diamond. Thompson instantly clicked with Tillery’s writing style and brought the music to a new level of explosive destruction.

Lead guitarist Cody Daniels is best known for his work as founder and frontman for the blackened, progressive, deathly-sludge-laden metal band, Giant of the Mountain. Daniels explores cavernous realms with twisted, exquisite solos that take a full hold of the listener’s brain with claws that refuse to release.
